Google Explore CSR Workshop

Are you interested in learning the application of Machine Learning (ML) in Cybersecurity? Do you want to enhance your skills in innovative ML techniques used in the industry?

Join the WSU Cyber Security and Behaviour team for an immersive workshop and a mini research project in February 2024. This workshop is supported by a Google Explore CSR grant.

What is the workshop about?

An intensive workshop followed by a mini research project led by WSU faculty, researchers and invited guests from academia and industry.

An intensive three-day workshop covering machine learning and AI uses in cyber security. You’ll also get to meet cyber security researchers and get an insider’s view of life as a PhD student. Industry experts will introduce you to ML and AI use in the field.

After the workshop, you will team up with a small group for a mini research project using or developing ML/AI for cyber security. Your team will be assigned a mentor and you should meet weekly for 1 month.

When will the workshop be held?

The intensive workshop will be held all day on February 13, 14 & 15th 2024.

Projects will continue to March 31st 2024. A day to present your project outcomes will be scheduled for the last week of March.
